We first met Ann in Yamba, where we came to know her affectionately as Soft Toy Ann. What began as a friendly conversation and a shared love of handmade creations soon grew into a lovely creative collaboration.
Today, Ann creates her own charming interpretations of humpback whales using cotton and linen fabrics from Atlantic Blue Australia.
Inspired by these magnificent ocean creatures, Ann gives each whale its own character, combining soft sculptural shapes, coastal blue cotton and natural linen undersides.
Like all our Coastal Creations, each piece is thoughtfully handmade in small batches or by pre-order. This allows Ann to work at her own pace, preserving the creativity, care and joy that make her work so special.
